I'm new and my first hurtle is getting CoDeveloper 3.0 to find the license file. I followed the instructions in the email for installation.
I have a node locked license. When I start CoDeveloper, it asks me twice with a dialog box to point to the license file or server. I point to my license file in the CoDEveloper/bin directory and it continues and says " product not activated"


I've been trying different things going thru the FlexNet user guide....Any suggestions?

I sent you email earlier this week, but wanted to follow up here in case it got lost.

A few things to check on:

- %IMPULSEC_HOME% environment variable is set to the CoDeveloper install directory ("C:\Impulse\CoDeveloper3" by default)
- The license file must be named "CoDeveloper.lic"
- Use of Terminal Server or other remote access methods is disabled in our licenses by default
- Run the command "lmdiag -c %IMPULSEC_HOME%\bin\CoDeveloper.lic" to get details on why licensing might fail

All the things below were setup properly and lmdiag -c %IMPULSEC_HOME%\bin\CoDeveloper.lic didn't fail.
I was able to see the license file.
Now my machine is pretty messy with FlexLM license stuff. I couldn't figure it out for a while there. All the FlexLM diagnostics checked out.
I have Altera, Xilinx modelsim, VxWorks all setup and the FlexLM finds all those licenses (Node locked and/or USB key). It also found the CoDeveloper.lic as well.
I tried putting the server name 27000@<mypchostname> in the application dialog box and it still didn't work.

I finally went on the assumption that it may need some help in the license file on where to look.
I added the line SERVER <MyHostName> <MyMACAddress> 27000 after ISSUER and before VENDOR line.

BANG....worked the first time.

My system must be looking at the localhost on port 27000 to get all of the licenses. FlexLM can be very frustrating at times.
