The Mandelbrot example is a standard application sample provided with the CoDeveloper installation. You can check the Download Zone for links to the current installers.
This particular example has been compiled to two different Virtex-4 platforms, the Pico EP-12 LO (based on a Virtex-4 LX FPGA) and the Xilinx ML403 board (based on a Virtex-4 FX). A forthcoming article in the Xilinx Embedded Magazine describes this and other similar examples used for PowerPC performance benchmarking.
