Version 2.01 of CoDeveloper now supports the widely-used FLEXlm licensing system. This includes support for floating licenses, for licenses "node-locked" to portable USB and PCMCIA network devices, and provides more control over licensed CoDeveloper features.
What does this mean for existing CoDeveloper users?
If you are currently using a version of CoDeveloper that was built prior to Version 2.01.d, you will need to request a new license file from Impulse before downloading and running the most recent software. When you request a new license file, you must provide us with your network physical address (also known as a MAC address) so we can generate a replacement license file for you.
The MAC address is unique to each network adapter installed in your system, and can be obtained by typing (at a Windows command prompt) the command "ipconfig /all". The MAC address is a 12-character identifier that is normally displayed in the following format:
00-11-22-33-44-55
If you have multiple network adapters installed in your system (for example if you have both wired and wireless network devices), then you should choose the network adapter that is most often installed and enabled. In most cases this will be your wired network adapter, but if desired you can select a removable device (such as a USB network device or PCMCIA card) in order to create a portable license.
After providing your MAC address to Impulse (via support@ImpulseC.com), we will provide you with an updated CoDeveloper.lic file that is compatible with your system, enabling those features of the product that you have purchased. When requesting your updated license file, be sure to let us know your product purchasing information (your name, company and the approximate purchase date) so we can more easily determine the correct license for your product.
