Hi all -

I'm trying to generate a Xilinx ML410-based project that includes floating point operations using CoDeveloper v3.10.b.9. The project worked fine in v2.20.h.3. When I run "Generate HDL" it finished with:
make: *** [hw/SVM_comp.vhd] Error 1.

Looking through the rest of the output, the only suspicious looking lines are:
libCoreGenCommon.tcl:GenerateCoreGen():C:/Impulse/CoDeveloper3/Architectures/VHDL/Xilinx/CoreGen_libs/float_fast//bin/libCoreGen.tcl does not exist
and
libCoreGenCommon.tcl::GenerateCoreGenFilesForEDK():Starting
ngcString =
libCoreGenCommon.tcl::GenerateCoreGenFilesForEDK():Exiting

I looked in the C:/Impulse/CoDeveloper3/Architectures/VHDL/Xilinx/CoreGen_libs/ and sure enough, there is no float_fast directory. However, one directory up from there (C:/Impulse/CoDEveloper3/Architectures/VHDL/Xilinx) there is a float.xml and a float_fast.xml.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Thomas

Hi,
Sorry for the confusion, but that is not an error only a statement that a the script for a particular library was not found. The error is more likely that the error is due to an executable ending abruptily. Could you please post or send to support@impulsec.com the entire 'CoDeveloper.log'? The complete Impulse C project (.icProj, .h's, .c's) would help to find the cause of the error even quicker.

Hi,
That would explain the error during HDL generation. It would appear that something is upsetting impulse_genvhdl.exe, the project files would be required in order to reproeduce the error and troubleshoot the cause. If possible, please Zip and send in your proejct to support@impulsec.com and we'll take a look.
