Using the HelloWorld example, after synthesizing the hdl files from CoDeveloper and downloading it to the target FPGA, how do i start the program so that it starts communicating and data transfer between CPU and FPGA. Is there any C files that i have to compile to get a executable for it or it depends on the vendor software for the FPGA or am i totally missing the point here.

Please advise.

Hi,
Depending on whether (and assuming you're using one of them) you are using a Microblaze or the PowerPC embedded CPU's, the PSP documentation on each will walk you through the steps of exporting the software from the Helloworld example through to running the software on the target. PSP-specific help files are accessible from CoDeveloper via Help->"Platform Support Package Help" which brings up an open file dialog:
For the Microblaze, choose "PSP_Xilinx_Microblaze.chm" and
for the PowerPC, choose "PSP_Xilinx_Virtex_II_Pro.chm".
